About Mr. Jan Butler

Service has defined my life. First to my Country as a United States Army veteran during the Vietnam War, and for the past 50 years, to the families of Mississippi.

After returning from service and earning my law degree from Mississippi College School of Law, I opened my practice in Eupora in 1976. Five decades later, I’m still here, still serving, and still focused on what matters most: helping families protect their children’s futures.

At 78, I've worked with generations of Mississippi families. I understand that estate planning isn’t just about legal documents. It’s about ensuring your children will be cared for by the people you choose, no matter what happens.

That’s why I created the Kids Protection Plan: affordable, comprehensive protection designed specifically for families with minor children. Whether you need guardianship nominations, healthcare directives, or a complete estate plan, I bring the wisdom of 50 years of experience to every family I serve.

I’m here to help you protect your family’s tomorrow.

I do not use paralegals to prepare your documents or hand you a form to fill out. When you sit down with me, you sit down with a lawyer who has handled these exact matters in chancery court for five decades. I know what happens when families don't have a plan — I've seen it in my courtroom and in my office. That's why I built the Kids Protection Plan and the Legacy Protection Plan. Mississippi families deserve better than what the internet can offer them.
