Legacy Protection Plan
Medicare does not cover nursing home care. Almost nobody knows this.
In Mississippi, long-term care can cost up to $90,000 a year or more. Medicaid will cover it — but only if you planned at least five years ahead. If your estate plan is more than five years old, the window may be closing.
Your children are grown. You've built a life — a home, savings, maybe land or a business. Now the question isn't who will raise your kids if something happens to you. The question is:
Who will make decisions if you can't? And will your estate go where you want it — without a court battle or probate nightmare?
Without the right documents in place, the answer to both questions may not be what you'd choose.
The Four Documents Every Mississippi Adult Needs
Last Will and Testament
You decide who gets what. Without a will, Mississippi law decides for you — and it may not match your wishes.
Durable Power of Attorney
Names someone you trust to handle your finances and legal affairs if you become incapacitated. Without one, your family may have to go to court just to pay your bills.
Transfer on Death Deed
Allows your home, land, or other real property to pass directly to your chosen beneficiary — without going through probate court. No trust required. It is one of the most powerful and affordable tools available to Mississippi property owners, and most people don't know it exists.
Advance Healthcare Directive / Living Will
Tells your doctors and your family what medical treatment you do or don't want if you can't speak for yourself. Eliminates painful guesswork and family conflict during an already difficult time.
Most empty-nesters have a will from 20 years ago, beneficiary designations they've never updated, and no plan for what happens if one of them needs long-term care. The Legacy Protection Plan addresses all of it — four plans to fit your situation, one afternoon, done.
